Carlos Bunga’s “Intento de conservácion IV, 2015“, was part of the exhibition “HISTORY(IES) OF ART RECENT ACQUISITIONS IN THE SERRALVES COLLECTION” at the Serralves Museum, next to 11 other artists’ whose work had been recently acquired.

Criteria – Works from the Fundación ARCO/IFEMA collection
This group exhibition presented at Galeria do Torreão Nascente da Cordoaria showcased some of Fundación ARCO’s collection and how art has been evolving since the 60s. Bunga’s included piece was Intento de conservación III.
Department of Carving and Modeling Section II: Form and Volume
An exhibition that outlined recent developments in contemporary sculpture. Curated by Jens Hoffmann. The title is a reference to Marcel Broodthaers’s Museum of Modern Art, Department of Eagles.

The Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology presented an exhibition on Pedro Cabrita Reis’s collection acquired by EDP Foundation, focusing on the initial moments of the careers of Portuguese artists.

A travelling exhibition across four cities in Portugal, at Centro para os Asuntos da Arte e Arquitectura, Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra, Centro de Artes e Cultura de Ponte de Sor and Espaço Adães Bermudesin. Bunga presented one of his video works.
Materiais Transitórios – Núcleo de Escultura da Colecção da Fundação PLMJ
The PLMJ Foundation organized an exhibition at the Fine Arts Society (Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes) with a selection of works focusing on sculptures by artists from Portugal and Mozambique belonging to the PLMJ Foundation collection.
Ramada Project
Bunga created a site-specific construction for the covered public square “Couros” of the Guimarães Design Institute. The exhibition was part of the program Change in Progress for the Guimarães: 2012 European Capital of Culture.
Caldas Late Night
Bunga participated at this event organized by students of the Superior School of Arts and Design of Caldas da Rainha, Portugal, where everyone is invited to show their work and projects on the streets of the city and in their homes. At the school’s student residence where he was staying, he showed a site-specific construction and registered an artistic action tearing it down.
