Inaspettatamente (Italian for unexpectedly) is an exhibition inspired by the life, work and world view of the late artist Alighiero Boetti (1940-1994), featuring sculpture, painting, video and mixed media, of 250 artists.
A dialogue emerges between Boetti and the living artists present in FdG Collection that echoes conversations around seriality and processes, order and disorder, and experimentation with different modes of production; either in a direct thematic connection or on a more intuitive level. Among other themes, the show gathers artworks that explore time, duality and otherness, and the artist’s position in the world with geopolitical reflections that consider the current state of our uncertain times.
