An ensemble with pieces from Hermann and Margrit Rupf’s collection, the first Swiss collectors who focused their work on abstract and contemporary art, allowing themselves to be guided by their personal criteria. It puts works by key artists from art history such as Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Juan Gris, Fernand Léger, Paul Klee or Vasily Kandinsky in dialogue with works by contemporary artists.

2 paintings by Bunga are part of the collection and were included in the exhibition.

Susanne Friedli writes about Construcción pictórica #11k:

Bunga is placed in the tradition of Constructivism, from a formal point of view, in the use of a basic geometric. The supports are reminiscent of packaging materials; for example, the bottom or lid of a cardboard box. Bunga often introduces an additional geometric structure by replacing the ‘spaces’ with cardboard boxes, which further highlights the patterned nature of the idea of an architectural space. Unlike the maquette or the architectural model, Bunga does not try to erase the traces of his creative process: the traces of glue and industrial paint are mixed to form a whole, whose existence is mostly a significant and sometimes almost expressive gesture, because it depends on them. And finally, the self-adhesive labels behind the paint traces recall the past uses of cardboard. Although the materials and colors used, in their rawness and immediacy, give the work a dense and sensual atmosphere, the simple shapes, with geometric motifs, make us think of archaic gestures.

Bunga's work also appears to us as an extended pictorial space. His painting is not limited to the surface, on the contrary, it becomes a space of color, which reflects on social and collective issues at the same time.”
