Palpitacions a la muntanya

Drawing by Carlos Bunga.

Poesia i +, Fundacio Palau Centre d’Art

Bunga was part of the poetry and arts festival Poesia i+, for which he created an outdoors-indoors installation that, starting from a cabin, allows the audience to activate the entire mountain where its located, following through painting, dance, music, sculpture, performance and poetry.

The cabin, known as “Doña Cary's cabin”, is a cultural heritage building at Caldes d’Estrac, outside Barcelona City. This work presents it as the meeting place for lovers, a secret refuge in the middle of the forest to intimately experience the passion of love and also the heart of this proposal, which is based on other previous works by the artist, in which he creates fragile, variegated and ephemeral architectures. Like poetry. Bunga's action activates the mountain, invites us to inhabit it, to feel it, to climb it, to discover what takes place there.

In this activation-installation, he is accompanied, among others, by the pianist Ferran Cruixent, the dancer Sílvia Sant Funk and the choreographer Pere Faura.

A mountain, a cabin, a secret, a couple of lovers, an Indian and a maid, the forest and the animals. Palpitations in the mountain. Time in time. The mountain itself, an organic skin that covers a cabin, a poet, a dancer, a pianist, an artist, a dancer and the people.
