MACBA - Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Barcelona +info

As a poetic approximation to the work of Maria Teresa Hincapié, within the “Parlem” program organized by MACBA, Bunga developed an action that took the audience out of the museum’s space and to the streets in a peregrination that finished at El torno de los huérfanos (the lathe of the orphans) – a historical heritage point in Barcelona.

Ombligo (belly button) is a trace of an intersection, a pilgrimage, a crossing point between artists, disciplines, community and neighborhood, where Bunga explores the connections between the everyday, the intimate and the symbolic using his body as a connecting thread between the museum, the city and its past.
