Aranya Art Center +info

Models are the starting point of construction, as well as the extraction and reconstitution of reality, allowing us to see the world anew through changing perspectives and scales. Carlos Bunga brings his vision to Modeling the World, an exhibition at Aranya Art Center exploring models as more than just architectural tools, but rather as portals to new ways of seeing. It investigates the intersection of art, architecture, and social experience, using Aranya’s architectural design as a backdrop to explore how models influence both built environments and our perception of them.

For Bunga, models are fluid: they dismantle, reconstruct, and reshape reality, revealing layers of memory, impermanence, and space. His work challenges the static nature of architecture, turning it into an evolving dialogue between the material and the imagination. The artist employs cardboard models of different scales to interact with the space, creating a dynamic exchange between building and dismantling, the intimate and the vast.
