Desplazamientos síquicos
Museo de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia +info
This exhibition is a large-scale in situ intervention on the museum’s rooms and patios. It consists of ephemeral site-specific installations which impact on the building’s architecture and people’s mental perception of it, in order to construct mental and poetic spaces.
In Bunga’s work, the physical and conceptual dimensions intercross through a flexibility and adaptational exercise towards the building’s pre-established conditions, including a considerable amount of improvisation. He transforms the space into a laboratory for experimentation while at the same time he surrenders to a game of occupation; his installations come from a confrontational process with the space, in an open battle filled with energy.
Desplazamientos síquicos includes the result of an educational project by the Dirección de Patrimonio Cultural -Laboratorio Cano, in which students of the Plastic Arts School of the Arts Faculty of the university worked in a creative workshop with the artist and the curator.
