This collective exhibition was the last one held in the ewz Unterwerk Selnau building before the museum moved to the Löwenbräukunst site, so it served as an homage to its historical industrial structure, through large-scale works that celebrated the combining of colors, shapes, light and architecture.
Bunga realized a new installation, located in the stairwell, titled Free Standing Painting (Haus Konstruktiv). It’s composed of paintings created between 2016 and 2024, which hang from the twelve-meter-high ceiling in such a way that they seemed to float at different heights in the narrow space.
To anyone walking up or down the stairs, the fact that the mobile image carriers are furniture-moving blankets and carpets, painted with simple wall paint, only becomes apparent on closer inspection.
